We would like to inform you of the brand new, multi-faculty minor ‘Re-Imagining Security’. The minor ‘Re-Imagining Security’ is a collaboration between the Security in Open Societies (SOS) Platform and the Contesting Governance Platform and is coordinated by Dr. Tessa Diphoorn and Dr. Katherine Fortin. The minor consists of four courses offered by the Cultural Anthropology Department, Utrecht Law School, the History Department, and Utrecht University College. The minor provides students with an interdisciplinary and 360˚ study of security.
We proudly note the involvement of various SHN members. Dr. Jorrit Steehouder and Dr. Joep Schenk will give the course ‘Historicizing Security’, on the historical concept of security. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Beatrice de Graaf will be involved in its content and will host guest-lectures during the minor together with Dr. Ozan Ozavci.
As an academic platform for security history, SHN welcomes the broad perspective on security that is given is this multi-disciplinary minor and we are proud of the involvement of our own members. For more information, please follow the link below.
