About the Conference
The department of History and Art History at Utrecht University invites anyone interested in learning more about the theme of Applied History to this Conference on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Academiegebouw in Utrecht.
The reason for this conference is the emerging trend of Applied History, which has been very well represented in Utrecht for years. The aim of this conference is to highlight this specific form of history practice and explore it further with each other. Applied History is crucial for understanding contemporary events and developments. On this day they will discuss various themes, from History of the Present, the role of historians in times of crisis, to interventions by historians in issues of injustice and reconciliation.
